About
Safeguarding children is a legal, moral, and professional responsibility. Although Trusted Companionship is not a regulated childcare provider, companions may interact with children during family visits, community outings, airport pickups, or when supporting adult clients who have children. Therefore, all staff must understand how to recognise concerns, respond appropriately, and follow organisational safeguarding procedures. This training provides learners with essential knowledge to: Identify signs of child abuse and neglect Understand child safeguarding responsibilities Respond appropriately to disclosures Follow reporting procedures Maintain professional boundaries Promote safety, dignity, and wellbeing Work in line with UK child protection legislation
