Nutrition, Hydration & Wellbeing Awareness

  • 51 Steps

About

Good nutrition and hydration play a vital role in maintaining health, independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. Many individuals receiving companionship services may be older adults, people living alone, individuals recovering from illness, or those experiencing challenges that affect eating and drinking habits. Companions are not expected to provide clinical dietary advice. However, they can help promote healthy habits, recognise signs of potential concern, support wellbeing, and report issues appropriately. This training provides an introduction to nutrition, hydration, wellbeing, and the companion's role in supporting healthy lifestyles.
